Summary

Holiday camp for young people with disabilities, Romania

Detailed description

Every year, young people with disabilities from our programmes in the country have the opportunity to get to know each other in specially organised camps near Sepsiszentgyörgy, Valcele. In the middle of nature, 60 young people with special needs from Romania and other countries come together to spend time far away from the hustle and bustle of the world, in a space that is perfectly tailored to their needs, in a community that is close to their hearts.

They are supported by dozens of volunteers who organise everything related to the camp, including activities such as workshops, party nights, karaoke, sports competitions, horse riding and many excursions.

The Malteser Camps are one of the rare opportunities where young people with special needs in Romania have a holiday, in a space where they are safe, together with people who understand their needs and help them to gain their independence.

If you want to join our camp for children with disabilities, then apply here.

About Serviciul de Ajutor Maltez în România (SAMR) | Relief Service, Romania

Serviciul de Ajutor Maltez în România (SAMR) is a non-profit association headquartered in Cluj-Napoca. For 30 years, through 17 branches and branches in the country, we have been running programs for the benefit of those in need – the elderly, the sick, people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. 1200 volunteers are constantly involved to help them lead a dignified life without distinction of ethnicity, religion, gender or political affiliation.

Christian values and humanitarian principles are at the heart of our actions: the Maltese Aid Service in Romania is the bearer of the mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
