Summary

We're looking for volunteers to support our teams in Romania with their Ukraine crisis response for at least 1 week at a time.

Detailed description

The Malteser Relief Organization in Rumania  has over 30 years of experience in helping those in need. We have been helping since the moment war broke out in neighbouring Ukraine and continue to do so.

Currently, our volunteers continuously man 3 crossing points at the Ukrainian-Romanian border: Sighetu Marmației, Satu Mare and Siret. In addition, our organization collects donations of aid supplies and transports them to Ukraine. The donations are stored in our logistics centre in Satu Mare from where they are distributed to our 3 border posts or taken directly into Ukraine based on requests from our colleagues there.

We are looking for volunteers who could support us at our border posts and in our warehouse. There may also be the possibility of joining our team on aid distribution visits in Ukraine itself (of course, only if the volunteer agrees and is happy to enter Ukraine at their own risk). We might also ask you to assist at other projects across the country, many of which are under increased pressure due to the influx of refugees.
