We are looking for our our next cyclists, ready to take on the Lebanon on Whees challenge to raise funds for the homes of our friends in Lebanon.Detailed description
Dear friends,
We are looking for our next cyclists to take on the Lebanon on Wheels challenge - a 1000km+ cycle ride to raise funds and awareness for our friends with disabilities in Lebanon !
Our friends in Beirut need your help ! Over the last few years we have begun to make a difference by providing specialised education to disabled men and women in Lebanon and we need new cyclists to help us out.
Lebanon is currently experiencing the most serious economic and financial crisis in its history made worse by the pandemic. In such a situation, the fate of the weakest is often overlooked.
This is a particularly difficult time for our friends in the homes. Not only are they suffering from the fact that they have fewer visitors, therapy and holiday camps due to the pandemic, but their basic care is also at risk. The price of medicines, diapers and other care items has risen by an astronomical amount and many relatives can no longer bring their usual monthly nappy and care packages to the homes. The sisters face the immense challenge of continuing to care for the physical and mental well-being of their protégés in this crisis situation.
That’s why we need to find our next cyclists, ready to take on the challenge to inspire others and raise funds for the homes. The challenge has taken many forms in the past six years and we are looking for our next cyclists to make it their own. Anyone can cycle, time periods are flexible and we would love to hear from you if you are interested!
If you are interested, don’t hesitate and get in touch with us.

About Karim Project
In everyday life, the loneliness and lack of perspective are often the hardest for the people living in the homes. The sisters of the homes do their best, but they are so poorly equipped financially and in terms of personnel that it is usually only enough to feed and physically care for the people entrusted to them.
Donations to pay for physiotherapy, school therapy and the necessary equipment are therefore essential. The therapy measures change the lives of the children and adults significantly and also relieve the carers in the homes.
Faced with the ongoing crisis situation in Lebanon, we are currently also supporting the homes with medication, nappies and other scarce supplies.
