A reception for young members and volunteers attending the Malteser Weekend in London and supporters of Vision 2050.
Over 40 representatives from 14 bodies of the Order of Malta attended the Vision 2050 Planning Meeting on Saturday 10th January to discuss the Rhodes recommendations and plan for their implementation.
The engaged and experienced group of participants were very honoured to be joined by the Grand Hospitaller, as well as Fra’ Duncan Gallie, a member of the Sovereign Council, Simon Grenfell, a member of the Government Council, Justin Simpson, Ambassador of the Order, Raphael Vermeir from the Malteser International European board of Directors, and chaplains of the Order, Monsignor John Armitage and Father Hugh Kennedy. The meeting and the discussions were more productive with so many representatives of the central governments of the Order present, offering their advice and support in the ongoing conversation.
There was active collaboration and many contributions were offered to the discussions around the recommendations. Please find attached a summary of the meeting and the next steps in the implementation of the recommendations from Rhodes.
