Summer Camps in Romania

Summer Camps in Romania

Each summer, young volunteers of the Order in Romania host a camp for young disabled people and an international skills and communications workshop for young volunteers.

The camp for young disabled people in Valcele has been running for the last 15 years and not only provides the disabled guests with a summer holiday of fun, activities and friendship, but also gives their families and carers respite during the week. Staying in picturesque wooden cabins in the woods, at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, the guests and volunteers participate in horse riding, all-terrain vehicle riding, bathing in the lake and dancing the night away at the disco.

The international young volunteers camp is held each summer in Micfalau, in the mountains of Romania, and welcomes young members and volunteers between the ages of 18 and 35 years from all over the world. It is an opportunity to meet new people from across the Order, share best practices, and learn new skills in the dedicated workshops.

Young members and volunteers from across the Order are invited to attend these camps, and young people with disabilities are encouraged to attend the summer camp in Valcele, with dedicated volunteers.
