A Busy Summer in Belgium

A Busy Summer in Belgium

July is always a very busy time of year for the Belgian Association. This year, with seven summer camps accommodating over 150 young volunteers, 36 disabled children and 100 disadvantaged children, it has been no exception!

Three of the seven camps were set up in Tinlot, for the disabled children, ranging from 7 to 22 years old. Here, they are invited to participate in stimulating and inclusive activities in the exciting camping atmosphere of tents and bonfires, run by dedicated volunteers.

The other four camps are set up in Maredsous and other locations throughout in Belgium, to provide tailored support for disadvantaged children who are victims of neglect, abuse or parental loss. Our enthusiastic team of volunteers, aged between 18 and 30 years old, create a warm environment of support and fun, with a focus on co-operative learning and mutual respect.
