History of involvement with the Order

The first contact I had with the British OMV was working opposite them in the Acceuil St Frai in Lourdes one Summer, I was volunteering with the Westminster Diocese team during my summer holiday.
I then volunteered with the German equivalent of the OMV on their Libanon Projekt before joining the British OMV once they also started to run camps there.
I joined the British team again for the International Holiday Camps in Hungary, in France and in Poland and for their Easter Pilgrimage to Seville a few years ago now and on their Walsingham Pilgrimage last year.
I have often had the joy and pleasure of contributing to their fundraising efforts and catching up with fellow volunteers whilst attending the White Knights Ball.
It has been an incredible privilege and a joyful one to volunteer the time I've had between work and studies with the organisation.
I hope, despite spells of free time becoming fewer and further between, to continue seizing those opportunities that arise to contribute what I can to the efforts of the Order of Malta.
