History of involvement with the Order
She is Medical Doctor, volunteered at the first aid station of the Order of Malta in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in the Jacobean year of 2010 and participated in the Annual International Order of Malta Pilgrimage to Lourdes in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
She volunteered in the project “VitaminaC”, a catholic youth group for teenagers from disadvantaged families of the suburbs, Apelação, Loures – Lisbon from 2006 until 2007. Also volunteered in the project "Holiday for Mothers of Persons with Disabilities" sponsored by the Shrine of Fatima at Francisco and Jacinta Marto Centre, 2010 and 2011.
She was co-founder and responsible of the Project "Mission Country" at the Faculty of Medicine/ University of Lisbon, 2012, 2013 and 2014. As well she volunteered in the "The Family and the Law in 30 Years of the Apostolic Exhortation Familiaris Consortio", organized by the Faculty of Law/Lisbon University, 2012. And she was Catechist in the Parishes of Lisbon: St. Mary of Bethlehem, Carnide and Schoenstatt for several years.
